AssistMate – Your Friend in Every Situation (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 User-Generated Content
AssistMate allows users to input text, such as questions, prompts, or custom role definitions.
This data is used to generate responses via the Gemini 2.0 Flash Lite AI model.
1.2 Device Information
The app may temporarily access device identifiers for session management or rate-limiting.
No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected unless you voluntarily provide it.
1.3 App Usage
Local app data such as daily question counts, selected roles, and custom role definitions are stored on your device.
Crash logs and diagnostics may be collected if Firebase Crashlytics or similar SDKs are used.
2. How We Use Your Data
To provide AI responses: Your prompts are sent to the Gemini 2.0 Flash model for real-time processing. Data is processed ephemerally (in memory) and not permanently stored.
To maintain app functionality: Device identifiers are used for session tracking and enforcing limits.
To improve app performance: Crash logs or diagnostics help fix bugs and improve the user experience.
For subscriptions: Payment info is securely handled by Google Play Billing; AssistMate does not store payment details.
3. Data Sharing
AssistMate does not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
AI prompts are sent to Gemini 2.0 servers for processing only and are not used for other purposes.
Payment and subscription data are managed solely by Google Play.
4. Ephemeral Processing
User prompts and AI requests are processed ephemerally, meaning data exists in memory only for the duration of generating a response and is not stored permanently.
Local app data (question counters, roles) is stored only on your device.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Local app data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.
Subscriptions and billing history are retained by Google Play as per their policies.

6. Third-Party Services
Gemini 2.0 Flash AI model – processes user prompts to generate answers. Prompts are processed temporarily and not stored permanently.
Google Play Billing – handles subscription purchases and secure payments.
Firebase Crashlytics (if used) – collects crash and diagnostic logs to improve app stability.
7. Children’s Privacy
AssistMate is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Security
All data transmitted to Gemini 2.0 servers or crash reporting services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Local app data is stored securely on your device and deleted upon uninstall.
9. Your Rights
You can uninstall the app at any time to remove all local data.
